Poetsridge was as idyllic as the name suggests. The unit was spacious, spotless and a genuine home away from home. The deck space, surrounded by trees and bush, was a real bonus, especially with the native birds visiting on a daily basis. Barbara and Peter could not have been more welcoming and they had anticipated every possible need any visitor might have. Even when there was a very brief blackout, no sooner had the lights gone out than Barbara and Peter messaged us to let us know where the blackout lantern was and when the power was expected back on. We would recommend their delightful unit to anyone, whether local or international, who was interested in a quiet, peaceful and eminently comfortable base from which to explore the beautiful Blue Mountains.

We had a lovely stay at Barbara’s place - it is very peaceful, quiet (except for the birdsong which is lovely) and private - the accommodation is very spacious, bed very comfortable and cosy with heating in bedroom and living space, great coffee machine and milk generously provided, easy on street parking and very close to the local golf club for a great schnitty!!

Poetsridge Escape was everything I hoped it would be....a comfortable , well presented accommodation with atmosphere. From the covered balcony and inside through picture windows it felt like you were really in the middle of the forest and fern trees. After heavy overnight rain the trees just glistened and rushing water of the creek nearby could be heard, along with birds. Barbara was a welcoming and generous host.

What a beautiful, peaceful place with great facilities. spotlessly clean, nice big bathroom with washer and dryer which was great. Comfortable bed, nice and dark to sleep. Kitchen is OK as there is a microwave and electric hob but there is a great bbq on the deck. The lounge is really comfy with guest netflix and a record player which I loved. lots of nice little touches such as a robe, lovely lights and fountain on the deck. Outside area is fab and looks put onto the bush. Would use again if I ever come back.

Barbara's place is a real gem. The living space was much larger than I thought it would be, a pleasant surprise! I also loved the view onto the lush bushland, really peaceful and serene – especially in the mornings. The space was homely with many conveniences that made the stay very comfortable. Barbara and Peter have a wonderful place. It is extremely peaceful, with beautiful surroundings. We spent 5 nights at their place. It's an excellent base from where to explore the Blue Mountains area. Barbara and Peter were always available to help with the local info and very fast to respond. If we ever visit Blue Mountains again, this is where we would stay.!!

This was an amazing stay! Barbara was extremely helpful with information and was lovely in the little interactions with her! The place was beautiful to stay at with heaps of guide books and a list of things available in the house! Loved using the record player with amazing vinyls provided! The place also had an amazing outdoor view which made breakfast amazing. Peter was extremely lovely as well I can't wait to book here again. Perfect place with everything being so close would highly recommend this house.!!

Barbara is an excellent host. The property is in a great location and is well maintained and well appointed. The kitchen area is small but has everything you need. The bedroom is large as is the lounge room. Plenty of outdoor seating as well. All up we think it is a fantastic place to stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Springwood or the Blue Mountains.!!

Barbara and Peter’s place is a little slice of Paradise in the blue mountains. Everything about this place was perfect - peaceful, easy to get to, lots of space, fantastic instructions and local tips which were personalised and printed including the weather for the week. We will absolutely be staying here again. Hosts were lovely and responsive. Would definitely recommend!!!!!

We had such a lovely stay at Barbara’s place. The view on the forest and listening to birds while taking your coffee in the morning was amazing. There’s everything you need for cooking, the bedroom is big, with very comfy bed. We really felt like home, and Barbara and Peter’s kindness made us feel very comfortable. Thanks for everything.!!

Everything is as described. It was a wonderful 5 nights that we stayed at this beautiful home. It had everything we needed to have bbq dinner every night. The coffee pods were also a nice touch - delicious. Huge living, dining, bedroom and bathroom. Nice garden too. We would definitely stay again.

Barbara and Peter are great hosts. I made it clear I was there for a couple of quiet days. They respected my privacy and I felt like this little haven was mine for a while. The apartment is in a very peaceful setting, is spotlessly clean and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Waking to birdcall and exploring the gully were unexpected extras. Highly recommended.

What a special retreat. The amenities were fantastic with many thoughtful touches. Barbara and Peter have gone above and beyond. I loved sitting on the back deck with the sounds of the bush in the evening. I almost started writing poetry! Thanks and will not hesitate to recommend.

Thanks to Barbara and Peter, I really enjoyed my stay. The place was very clean and comfortable, nicely set up and the shower was extra good, and being by the bush with lots of birds was a balm for the soul. There wasn't a huge amount of space in the kitchen but it had the essentials and the barbeque on the deck was great.

The quietest coziest space in all of the Blue Mountains. Barbara and Peter have thought of every little thing you might need during your stay. Had such a relaxing and comfortable stay! It was so hard to leave and face city life again after a few days of peace and quiet. Barbara and Peter were the most gracious hosts; friendly and always quick to respond to any questions. The place itself was really clean and well-equipped with everything you could need to be self-sufficient. Loved the little touches like the remote control lamps in the lounge, and the great collection of books and vinyl records, not to mention Netflix will make you want just stay in. This is a very spacious and comfortable apartment located on the lower level of the house, it has nice views to the forest getting a filtered morning Sun. The apartment is spotless, and they thought of everything you may need to enjoy your stay. I was concerned about the cold weather, but that was not a problem because it not only has reverse cycle air conditioner in the bedroom, and Lamp heating (Tastic type) in the bathroom, but also a Rinnai gas heater in the Livingroom. Great hosts, they live upstairs, they are quick to respond and willing to help, but interaction with them is entirely up to you. We stayed there for 3 nights and we highly recommend this place, we certainly understand now why it has such great reviews.

Photos don’t do this place justice. My two week stay felt too short. The place is much bigger than in the photos and the backyard is amazing! I had total privacy at all times, however, my needs were always attended to immediately. The place is so peaceful and the library is a bonus. The space itself was very welcoming and extremely clean. The attention to detail with the finer touches in the space were great. The space has everything you need for a stay, stocked with whatever you need in the bathroom and kitchenette. Highly recommend this place if you're interested in exploring the Blue Mountains.

Poetsridge is very comfortable, clean and spacious. Beautiful outlook into bushland and very peaceful. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom modern and clean with fluffy towels. We had other engagements in Springwood and unfortunately our time at Barbara and Peter’s was limited. Would love to return and spend more time exploring the garden.

Barbara and Peter are amazing. We stay at Poetsridge Escape to write and it's perfect. It's quiet, clean and has everything you need for your stay. Barbara and Peter were so accommodating when I spilled a cup of tea on my laptop and I urgently had to take it to be fixed. They drove me to a computer repair shop and to the train station when I left. Jamie and I will be back to stay again. They have thought of everything.

This is the place to stay if you want a beautifully quiet getaway. If you want to reconnect with nature and view the trees, birds wildlife if you’re lucky). Had a delightful stay at Poetsridge Escape. Lovely cosy space with everything you need for a quiet restful weekend away in the lower Blue Mountains. Barbara has a stunning space exactly as pictured. I needed to host a zoom meeting while away and Peter made sure I was good to go with the best spot for optimal WIFI. This place was great for access further up the mountains with the homely feel of being in a great property. Loved the personalised information sheet and weather forecast. I popped to the local farmers markets up the road early Sunday morning to get some fresh supplies to cook up in the fab kitchenette which made it all the better. Thanks Barbara and Peter for a great home away from home!

Cannot recommend this place enough. Barbara and Peter are a lovely couple and have really thought of everything you could ever need. This is the perfect place to escape for a weekend away using as a base for your Blue Mountains adventuring or alternatively even just stay at the property reading (from your own or the provided library), writing (your manuscript), watching (movies via projector) or listening (to the provided vinyls). Something here for everyone. The local recommendations were a hit and the Grand Canyon walk should not be missed. Phone reception is a little sketchy on the property but I promise you won’t miss it. WiFi connection provided was excellent - in fact better than my own in an inner city! I will certainly be back.

This was our second visit to Barbara & Peter's lovely place in Springwood. It has definitely become a home away from home and our go to place whenever we think of driving up to Blue Mountains. We have recommended it to our friends as well back in Sydney, some of whom look forward to staying at their place. The location is spectacular with a lush forest overlooking the backside. They both are wonderful and thoughtful hosts who were great in their hospitality and communication. They have abundant information brochures on things to do which are really helpful to plan on your travel plans if you have not done so in advance. I would also like to mention the thoughtful touch of having a welcome letter which also included the weather for the week. Thank you for having us over! Cheers!

Peter and Barbara are beautiful people - they really cared about me having a pleasant stay. The Australian bush and wildlife is right on the doorstep, every room is open to the bush - gum trees, sandstone formations, parrots, all kinds of birds - it is really spectacular. Rain or sunshine, the space is comfortable and homely. The bedroom has enormous windows that open onto the greenery. The balcony has a great BBQ and is a beaut spot to relax. The bush is fun to explore and takes all of 15 minutes to get lost :D The bathroom is spacious and clean. The living room has netflix and an enormous projector. The kitchen is small but impressively workable. Thanks for having me guys!

Barbara and Peter are delightful hosts who made us feel very welcome, thoughtfully adding a bottle of champagne to the fridge as they knew we were celebrating our anniversary. The area was larger than expected, spacious and clean and had everything that we needed for our stay, most importantly a comfortable bed. Barbara’s place is amazing. It was one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed in. It has whatever you possibly might need during your stay. Lots of little pieces of information in every corner of the house for making the unit more homey and comfortable. The place was exactly as shown in the photos and full of cute decorations including Barbara’s artworks which are really fascinating. You can also enjoy the books, board games, movies or even Netflix! Barbara and her husband are great hosts. They welcomed us on our arrival and showed us the unit. We highly recommend their place especially if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing getaway:-)

Very clean, and set in a beautiful garden. Bird watching from the bedroom - that's hard to beat! We visited in spring. The aspect would make this a delightfully cool place in summer, and in winter the reverse-cycle air con and heating would keep you cosy. Recommended if you are seeking peace and quiet in a natural setting.

Barbara’s flat was really exactly what we were looking for. The pictures are very accurate, however, once there, the space seems a lot bigger! We were especially taken by all of the little things that Barbara was careful to add to our stay (there was even a lava lamp!). We didn’t feel like we needed anything more. Barbara and Peter stay just upstairs in case you need anything as well. Thank you very much for hosting us so last minute. We appreciate your hospitality!

Poetsridge Airbnb in the blue mountains was exceptional. Overlooking bushland with your own private balcony is incredible. We had an absolutely lovely long weekend at this heavenly place. Barbara’s home was immaculately clean and had everything you could ask for - all amenities, the little thoughtful touches, beautiful decor.. it truly felt like a home away from home. Poetsridge Escape was the most idyllic get away. Peter and Barbara are the best hosts! They took such wonderful care of us from great communication before we arrived to multiple over the top help during our stay! We enjoyed the wild life right out in the deck. The birds ate right out of our hands. The apartment had everything we needed. If there was anything we needed Barbara got it for us or helped us get what we needed. It is about a 15 minute walk to the public bus. We enjoyed the walks. Springwood is a quant little town. We had a great massage from the local Thai massage spa. It was a nice retreat to have after going through Katoomba and all the walking/sightseeing we did. The Blue Mountains area was breathtaking.

The accomodation is a heaven on earth. It is located besides a forest and a good place to relax. It is a big flat in a family home with a seperate entrance. It is equipped with everything you can imagine like a beemer, a barbecue on the spacious veranda, a modern and big bathroom, washer, dryer, towels, bed sheets and even bird seed :) It is decorated in detail and with so much love. Unfortunately, we only stayed 1 night. As we saw the beautiful flat and the location besides the forest, we spontanously decided to stay in the flat in the evening to relax in the pleasant atmosphere. With the birdseed that Barbara provided in the flat, we attracked some animals during the evening (4 cockatoos, 2 opossums and 2 wonderful red birds) who visited us on the veranda and who even ate from our hands. It was such a great evening and a wonderful start in our vacation in Australia. We highly recommend this accomodation of Barbara and Peter! Furthermore, Barbara owns a glass art gallery in her house with beautiful hand made pieces of art that is really worth a visit. Thanks again for everything.
